Meet the Makers: Dreamers & Drifters

Navy Trader Co

Dreamers & Drifters are driven by a love of beach culture, sustainability and slow fashion - all of the things we love here at Navy Trader Co. The beautiful Byron Bay brand is one of the best when it comes to ethics, quality and the environment. Did we mention how beautiful their dresses are?

Today we share our top three reasons why we love Dreamers & Drifters!

Dreamers & Drifters is female-founded

Dreamers & Drifters Byron Bay Studio
Dreamers & Drifters story begins back in Namaqualand, South Africa where a then very young Verity (founder) grew up as a child. Moving into a career in textiles and slaving away in big fashion houses, Verity decided she wanted to create a brand that offers classic shapes that won’t date in 3 months, so you can keep wearing your favourite styles into the next season, next year, and beyond.

Dreamers & Drifters is committed to sustainability

Dreamers and Drifters strongly believe that sustainability and ethical practices should come as standard in any business, not just the fashion industry. They only operate out of completely ethical and safe-to-work factories, that Verity personally visits regularly and sits with the sewers to work on new designs.

Every garment in handmade with love and care, and of course, they only use the softest, 100% natural fabrics that are easy-to-wear and designed with the future in mind.

All Dreamers and Drifters garments are designed in Verity's Byron Bay studio where hippie meets surfer, and time somehow stands still. From the gorgeous Las Flores range, to everyday linen wear, Dreamers and Drifters have nailed their designs, keeping fashion slow and timeless.
